SoftWerk was written by Paul Barton-Davis.

After shuttling back and forth between commercial, acadamic and research programming jobs (EMBL, Schlumberger, Rabbit Software, ScenicSoft, University of Washington CS&E) for 12 years, being the 2nd employee at Amazon.com (and then quitting) gave me the chance to finally start writing the kind of software I wanted to write. As well as being a very involved at-home parent, I am now a tireless advocate for Linux in the audio world, and spend a substantial part of my time writing free (as in beer and talk) software for electronic music composition and recording.
